Speedier Broadband In Sight

British university engineers are planning a speedier future for users of Broadband.

Using current telecommunications systems but using them more efficiently means it will soon be possible to download 15 full-length Hollywood movies in one minute. This is a timescale that seems virtually impossible to comprehend by today’s standards.

But surely, like everything, this will come at a price? Apparently not. It is hoped that the service will actually be 75% cheaper than it is at the moment. But how can they do this and when?

It is reported that the new system will work on the present fibre optics that already provide internet services and a prototype machine able to perform this amazing feat of download speed is about to go into production.

The device will look similar to a DVD player but as yet there is no predicted timescale for when it will be available to the general public or how much the machine will cost.
