Social media giant Facebook has finally added a child protection app to the site. The panic button was initially rejected by Facebook, but after their internal reporting system failed at least 252 children who reported abuse in the first three months of the year alone; the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (Ceop), who finally dealt with these cases after widespread complaints, have proved that the application is for the benefit of users.
