New Generation Virtual Computing

Computers that look like pens and project a keyboard and monitor onto any flat surface in your chosen space seem like something from the future but is about to become a reality.

Using Bluetooth technology, this new invention coming, of course, from Japan looks just like a pen. With 120 minutes of typing time, you get a full size qwerty keyboard accompanied by realistic clicking sounds.

This new device will be compatible with PalmOS 5, PocketPC 2003, Windows Smartphone, Symbian OS and Windows 2000/XP with limited Mac OSX Support.

This is tangible virtual reality. The keyboard ‘watches’ your fingers move and translates your actions into keystrokes within the device. It is also hoped that this technology will also be used to create projected control panels, thus increasing security where needed.

Currently, there are four different companies that are producing this virtual keyboard and it looks set to replace the average screen and keyboard, making the current model look positively bulky and outdated.
