Conversion Rate Optimisation is one of the large buzzwords in the online marketing world right now, and it’s easy to see why. Although the main focus of search engine optimisation companies is usually to gain page one positions, there is no point in having great positions if no one wants to even look at your site, let alone buy anything from it. Here at HP Group, we understand that positions are only half the battle.

But what exactly is Conversion Rate Optimisation? Is it just another one of those buzzwords that gets thrown around the SEO and online marketing worlds, or is it a genuinely useful service? As with anything new, there’s always a touch of confusion and mistrust around it, so we made a fun video to explain it.

In a nutshell, CRO is the method of testing different aspects of your website in order to find out which parts make it work better. Perhaps people aren’t sure where to click when they want to buy something, perhaps they need some encouragement to click the contact link and perhaps they just don’t like your site’s design scheme or some of the content. That’s where conversion rate optimisation steps in.

Internet Marketing

We at HP Group are very excited by this new string to their bow and have also had a great laugh around the office over the video which was produced in house by Craig Hindmarsh, one of our copywriters, who also created our “SEO is Like Fishing” animation and has more in the pipeline.

It’s been a fun process and we all think that this video clearly explains what CRO is and what it does. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in for your internet marketing campaign, please don’t hesitate to give us a call and find out more.

We hope you enjoy the video.
